Floating Rubber Fender
Floating rubber fender is widely used in port, harbor, and maritime operations for decades since it was developed in 1958. With the development of ship technology, it's always regarded as a bumper to reduce shock in between due to its great performance of great elasticity and abrasion-resistance.
Fully compliant with the ISO17357 standard, Jerryborg’s marine Yokohama pneumatic fender supplies a variety of specifications and dimensions to meet customer’s requests and different application conditions.
Floating Rubber Fender Advantage
1. Lower Reaction Force with Excess Load
When the floating rubber fender receives excess load suddenly,it can still perform well. The reaction force will not increase sharply compared with solid fenders as follows.
2. Tide Adaptation
Floating rubber fender is filled with pressure air inside that makes it flexible and easy to float on the water and adapt to the tide variation.
3. Safe and Reliable
Floating pneumatic rubber fender is made of several strong cord layers to enable it to be pressure-resistant and puncture-resistant. The floating pneumatic rubber fender whose diameter is over 2.5m is equipped with safety valve to release the air inside in case it's overpressured. The diagram below shows the data variations at different percentage compressions.

Floating rubber fender systems are divided into two categories. From the appearance, there are two types of floating rubber fenders:
1.Initial Pressure 50 Kpa, P50 floating rubber fender
2.Initial Pressure 80 Kpa, P80 floating rubber fender
3.Type I, CTN Type, with chains and tire nets floating rubber fender
4.Type II, Sling Type, without chains and tire nets floating rubber fender
